First off, what is the quickest way to level materia in the game apart from killing the Weapons (therefore also apart from getting the three pieces of MASTER materia from the Kalm Traveler)? I'm currently down the Crater killing Movers and Pots (2400 and 2000 AP respectively), using Apocalypse and Platinum Bangle (Triple and Double growth) but because I never really used any materia apart from Restore, Counter Attack, Enermy Skill, HP Plus and some others for a bit, I have to level most of my Magic, Command, and ALL OF MY SUMMONS ¬_¬
Any faster way of doing this? Some monsters that provide larger AP overall per fight?
This is for getting the MASTER materia of course, from the Huge Materia.

Second is a question regarding Master Tornberry. I've tried several ways of killing it, namely Omnislash, Meteorain, Deathblow, 4x Slash (these were successful), and also Flash, Summons etc (unsuccessful before he stabs you into Game Over). My question is: how do you guys find it most effective to finish him before he death's you?

That is all for now =))

Another Q: What would you say is the easiest way to gather GP in the Gold Saucer?
I'm currently wanting to gain some in order to go to the Battle Square and not have to leave, but I can only gather 20 per turn in the Submarine game. Any other tips? :P

no this is THE fastest way to lvl your materia.

for tonberry i found doing regular attacks with all my chars killed him before he reached me lol but theres all sorts of things you can do. but whats fun to do is use morph with yuffie when shes using her conformer weapon. does up to 9999 dmg, and if its the finishing blow he morphs into a ribbon, lol

fastest way to get GP is to race S class chocobo's, (actually racing not betting). and its not hard to make your chocobo good enough to make it an ez race. often you will win items like elixer and megalixer and you will be asked if you want to keep the item or exchange it for GP. which you can trade those 2 for GP for 200 and 500 GP and theres other items that trade for a good amount too.

i suggest using a black or gold chocobo, and buy the most expensive greens from the chocobo sage, as much as you feel you can afford. because those raise all attributes of your chocobo. and if you need gill just sell a mastered All materia, those become kinda useless at the end of the game anyways because you have attacks like ultima and such.

and if you dont know how to get the black/gold chocobo there are an endless amount guides online

Nah I got the Gold Chocobo, hence having all the materia already, and going for the MASTERs. I actually couldn't be arsed to MASTER every one of them though (I did the magic ones, but not summons), so I just went ahead n solo`d Emerald for the Harp rofl.. I'm now onto trying Ruby fully solo, but I'm yet to figure out a way to succeed =/ Wish me luck xD

ps : thanks for clearing up that that was the fastest levelling of materia, and ty for the tip about exchanging items, that I didn't know about :P

heres a tip for fighting ruby, get life2 or what ever the one is that heals you to full life. master it, and master final attack which you get from doing special challenge in battle arena (after getting omnislash&W-summon you will be offered special challenge).

join those two in a double slot and every time you die you will be ressurected to full life. if both are mastered you will never die (unless you kill yourself with confuse, just make sure you are using a ribbon), and dont use mastered phoenix, cause it will ressurect your whole party and he will do his swirl sand attack and you may lose the character you were wanting to solo it with.

Yeah did this in the end (linked Final Attack with Revive), but I didn't need it, killed him with W-Summon Hades + KoR + 1 Omnislash (after pumping up on Hero Drinks). He managed to get all of 2 Ruby Flames and 2 Ultimas off against all of this =DD
