If you play your cards right (no pun intended), you can do it easily. Get 5 Abyss Worm cards at the start and then refine them into 100 Tornadoes using Quezacotl's T-Mag RF ability and junction them to Squall's Strength (Ifrit should be able to learn the Str-J ability if I remember correctly). That should allow you to breeze through the game to disc 3 fairly easily.
