I have noticed quite a few posts about this so I figured I would make one
Even though I and all of you would prob cry if this happened...
I just don't think they would want to risk..."ruining" such a classic
Knowing how popular the game is 12 years later, they know that if they even mess one tiny thing up it's going to upset the entire fanbase
So I do not think it is going to happen pretty much out of fear, but I would love to see my opinion proven totally wrong

agreed, i doubt they would make a remake on that, even though if they did it SHOULDNT be exactly the same, they should improve on many many needed areas to complete the potential it orginally had but felt short of. but it still because very succesful. and yeah, a remake would be a make or break deal, chances are they would make billions on it anyways, but you would get alot of stubburn die hard fans that would probably kill them selves if they changed a hair of the game....(killing themselves just as an expression)

I don't really want it to happen either. With FF7, I've already been there, done that, and got the t-shirt. I'd much rather have a brand new game than a rehash of an old game, which might even not be anywhere as good as the original anyway. To tell you the truth, I'm kinda sick of them milking FF7 now.

sounds like a good idea in my opinion. remake the old awsome ideas with new technology and graphics

Graphics only add so much to a game to be honest. If SE were to remake it, I would want them to revamp near enough everything, but even then, there's only so much they can do without ruining the game. If they just released the same game with updated graphics, then it wouldn't be worth the money to me.

well there are many speculations on a remake, but it will never happen, square has confirmed that they aren't planning on doing any remakes.

pp just started to asume that they were going to do a remake of ff7 after square showed a movie about ff7 that showed a bit about the ps3's potentional.

now a movie a tech demo but ya it looked great but it isnt happening

i wouldnt mind replaying it some time with better gfx, and perhaps even voice acting.

voice acting is an auto-fail imo, you get some annoying characters, like caithsith for example, put a voice to it, now you have to listen to it? im fine with reading, literacy is not an issue for me
