I'll be the first to admit that when I first played FF8's card game I hated....HATED it...that was because I didnt understand it. After reading up about it I started playing and its probably the most addictive mini game in a FF game. FF9's was ok but just not as good as FF8's imo.

FF8's card game is amazing. The in-game is awesome, and having to win the hard games against main characters + having to spread the shit rules and wait until certain parts of the game to get all the rares...it's addicting.

8 was far superior

I prefer FFVIII's card game for three reasons. The first reason is that FFIX's card game is partly down to chance. Even if your card is much better, there is still a chance that the other player's card will win. The second reason is that FFIX's cards have much more stats than FFVIII's, making the game much more complicated and/or annoying than it should be. Finally, I like how FFVIII's card game actually has an effect on the game. In FFIX, the cards have absolutely no purpose outside the card game, and as a result of that, I have never felt the need to even go out my way to acquire them.

i liked 8's but i also like 9's an if 8's was beta how come 11 has tetra master insead of 8's??

once you learn 9's card card its very addictive
