From a gameplay design perspective, I quite enjoy Cyan, as his special attack requires the player to find a balance between time spent and return gained. I also like Zell Dincht, who's Limit Break seamlessly combined the input system of Sabin's Blitz with Tifa's chained attack system.

In terms of purely character design, though, I'd have to say I enjoy Auron the most. I find his undead samurai character to be intriguing, but wished they had fleshed it out more.
