Name the boss and why you had trouble with it!!

The hardest for me was the one of the gaurdians that used mustard bomb and that finishing move when you killed him

Ozma. That dude could just take 2-3 turns in a row ANY time he liked. Totally unfair.

You mean the boss in the Crystal World in FFIX (the snake, Salamander I think it was called)? The one that also appears in one of the temples (but you don't fight it until later). Been years since I played FFIX, but I seem to vaguely remember having a little bit of trouble with it.

The hardest for me was probably Ozma. It was the randomness factor more than anything that got me. One bit of bad luck and your party is wiped out.

Omega Weapon probably would have been harder, but I knew his pattern of attack and all my guy's stats were near enough maxed out.

Penance FFX

Yeah, he was a bit like Ozma too. Low HP, but could hit hard and fast (I seem to remember a laser attack, Atomic Ray or something it was called). I'd probably still go with Ozma over him though.

Penance in FFX probably would be the hardest, if I could actually be bothered clearing the Sphere Grid and filling it up with +4s to max my stats. I've always had the impression that once your stats are maxed, he isn't that bad if you know what you're doing (I'm probably wrong though).

Yeah it's 4. But he has a bit more HP than 9999 so still unfair.
