It was 15 dollars a month when I played. And yes, you can cancel whenever you'd like too.

It's like $12 a month, +$1 for each character you have. You can cancel at any time, there's not really a 'contract.' Depending on the server you pick, it can be extremely active (too active for me) or just perfect. On average, there's about ~2000 players on at a time (each server.) Some overpopulated servers, like Odin for example, can have up to ~4000.
