My top 3 ff games in order of most favorite.

1. Final Fantasy 7 great story,can't be matched by any ff game imo. good gameplay.
2. Final Fantasy 8 better gameplay than ff7 imo
3. Final Fantasy 6 good story, an rpg classic.

1/2 = FF7+FF8

- They differ in what they do great, FF7 had the story of all time, FF8 had the characters of all time. FF8 had a very unbalanced stats system compared to the Materia system though.

3: FF4/FF6/FF12

- Too hard to say... However I can put FF5 as the worst of them all... Didn't get caught in the story or characters in that one.

FF8 - Loved The Characters Out Of Every Final Fantasy Game. && Quite Enjoyed The Overall Story.
FF9 - Liked The Card Game And Auction Features. Story Was Also Very Good, With Challenging And Strategic Bosses.
FF10 - I Actually Enjoyed Playing Blitzball And I Loved The Introduction To It In The Beginning Of The Game.

Sorry to go off-topic here, but if you enjoyed the auction house, there is a similar one in FF6 if you haven't tried that FF yet, along with some very challenging bosses.

I Just Liked The Outlook On It, In Ff9 Better.
But That's Just My Opinion.

FFVIII, not only the best FF game, but the best video game I ever played.

ff7 - good storyline , best stats system(materia) , some great characters
ff10 - good storyline , awesome sidequests (blitzball) , sphere grid wasnt too bad either
ff12 - in my personal opinion i prefer the new battle system to previous ones , ALOT of sidequests , the fact you can equip chars with different type weapons unlike previous games
where your weapon choice was pre determined.

ff8 - i would probably place this after my 3 , but it had a decent enough storyline (up until esthar), some of the best ff characters , its just a shame the bad system (junctioning) let it down , and the fact the game is far too short

Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy X - even though Tidus was a whiny bitch sometimes I LOVED the story.

FF6 due to how amazing it was when it came out. If this game came out now, instead of as ff6/3 ever being made but a new brand new game with a more elaborate battle system, better graphics, but the same exact story for the p3.. it would be acclaimed as the best game ever made
