Does your stats Vary based on your class During level ups? (i know Hp and Mp, but will attack be different if you leveled 10 lvls as a thief, than if you had done 10 as amonk?)

are thre anythings in the beginning of the game i should watch out for? (secrets, etc.)
im in chapter 2 and wondering these things now, average char around lvl 15, main char @ 21 (heart.gif yell, laugh.gif)

Note this is Ps1 version not Advance :]

Yes. There are some great charts you can look at on GameFaqs. Just use google.

I haven't played this game in a while, but the only three missable things I can think of happen later in the game.

You _must_ buy a flower from Aeris to recruit cloud.

There are two unique items you can only get by using MoveFind when fighting that ancient robot deal.

You must steal the Genji equipment from Elmdor (?) during your last fight with him. There's no other way to get it, so you might as well master Thief on some characters now.

Heh, I'm a training whore with this game. I usually have my characters at the very minimum level 70 with a lot of
job classes maxed. Maybe I'll go play it >.>

This should help you when comparing the leveling bonuses of each class.

1. The numbers are from the BMG (http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/197339/3876) and the board sticky.
2. The numbers are denominators in the growth formula, which means lower numbers are better. It also means that the smaller the number, the greater the impact. In other words, going from 60 to 50 is not as big a deal as going from 50 to 40. Check the BMG for more details.
3. The growth numbers are not the same as the class multipliers. Again, check the BMG for more details.

With that out of the way, here goes:

Class...........HPC...MPC...SpC...PAC...MAC
Squire.............11.......15....100......60......50
Knight.............10.......15....100......40......50
Archer.............11.......16....100......45......50
Monk.................9........13....100.....48......50
Thief................11.......16......90......50......50
Geomancer...10.......11.....100.....45......50
Dragoon.........10.......15....100......40......50
Samurai.........12.......14.....100.....45......50
Ninja...............12.......13.......80......43.....50
Dancer...........20.......20.....100......50.....50

Chemist.........12.......16....100......75......50
W. Mage.........10.......10....100......50......50
B. Mage..........12.........9....100......60......50
Mystic..............12.......10....100......60......50
T. Mage..........12.......10....100......65......50
Summoner....13.........8....100......70......50
Orator.............11.......18....100......55......50
Calculator......14.......10....100......70......50
Bard...............20.......20.....100......80.....50
Mime................6.......30.....100......35.....40

Dk. Knight.....12.......20.....100......40.....50
O. Kn. (1-7)...13.......13.....100......80.....50
O. Kn. (.........6.........8........80......35.....40

Ramza...........11......11........95.......50....48
Mustadio.......11......13......100.......50....50
Agrias............10......11......100.......50....50
Rafa...............11......11......100.......50....50
Malak.............10......11......100.......50....50
Orlando.........10......11......100.......42....42
Meliadoul......10......15......100.......39....50
Reis (H)...........5......10........95.......39....38
Beowulf.........10......11......100.......48....45
Cloud.............11......10......100.......42....46

(Basically, the lower the more that stat grows at level-up)

You can find the best items in the deep dungeon such as another excalibur (sword that orlandu has, adds haste and it one of the strongest in the game), zeus bow and many more items.

Cloud is not strong, at all, and his speed is so slow and it also takes forever to charge his skills. He is only worth it if you are getting him for a 'collectors item'.

Make ramza a ninja and learn 'two swords' and then turn him into a monk for the strongest hits. Teleport is also cool if you have the time smile.gif.

I know a secret for the ps1 version (sadly it doesnt work on psp) to make you have unlimited jp for any class wink.gif.

Hey Djinni,
Just as a advice.

Don't level up your main character too fast.
Why?

Because random monsters you fight (not the story battles) have a level determined on your main character's level.
So if your warrior are level 20 and your main character level 30... you will fight monsters that are around level 30 with level 20 characters.

Btw, you get Cloud into the chapter 4, right before going to Orbonne monastery which are the last battles biggrin.gif
