Really, now the Sony playstation has less exclusive games than it has features, which really isnt that many at all.
i hate myself for saying this, but i'm considering getting a xbox, especially after seeing the new Gran Turismo, it's just arcade mode from the older games in the series :S
i hope M$ gets tekken and metal gear too.
Any reasons you can think of not to boycut sony?(i have one of their drm mp3 players, this isnt helping on my loyalty)
GT is not an arcade mode, not 5... prologue was just a demo to show what GT5 will be.
Also, if you buy a 360 note you'll probably end up swapping 4-6 discs if SquareEnix keeps it's game as massive as they wanted to (for BluRay players).
M$ might someday get MGS4 but as far as I know they'd have to remake MGS4 so that's probably going to be a year + before it comes out.
You need to look at Sony's game lineup as a whole and think what best suits you, but I would like to point out one thing that people keep forgetting.
Comparing PS3 launch to PS2 launch, PS3 is outselling the PS2, as well has more games and exclusives than the PS2 did at this time, and more recently the PS3 is still outselling the 360 on a month/month basis when you compare both consoles at the same point in their life. PS3 is still on an upswing with a few unannounced titles being worked on, a few decent multiplatform RPGS, a few GOOD exclusive RPGS, a whole whack of exclusive FPS with creative and innovative content (well Resistance has been done, but you know).

Why would you boycott Sony and / or really care all that much?
And since when does one game series that mostly profits in Japan break an entire company? There are other, much better games than Final Fantasy games; FF did not make the Playstation, be it PS1, 2 or 3, popular. Rather, the Playstation made Final Fantasy popular. Put credit where credit is due; all Squaresoft is doing is trying to squeeze more money out of the series, which is exactly what they have done with all the spinoff of FF7 and movies and whatnot.
I think the NES made FF what it is today, the PSX/PS2 just gave it more bite in NA, FF1/2/3/4/5/6 were all fun and generally large/innovative for their time.
