What made you fall in love with the game? What about it just made you say "WOW this game is AMAZING"?

Is it the materia system?
The mind blowing (at the time haha) cut scenes?
Story?

Im not sure what it is about this game....I dont think its just one thing I think all the factors are what made it one of my favorite games of all time.

Yea I sound like a FF7 fanboy but I can just as easily make this topic about Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross, Dragon Quest 8, or Zelda OoT (or even TP for that matter)

I would have to say the story.

One thing I hated though...every time I would start a game, the next day my memory card would go missing.

I had the greatest file going....I was lv 70 before I left the first disc then I was around lv 90 not too far into the second disc. I started a new game (I cant remember WHY) I saved over the file where I was lv 90 on the second disc.....I was so pissed I didnt play for about a year. Then came back to make my "perfect" file got all chars to 99 got three master materia's of each kind beat EVERYTHING in the game....only took 94 hours.

Storyline, battle system(love original final fantasy's too), the uber sexy graphics(at the release lol), everything man. This game is a beast of a rpg
