So i just recently picked up FFT for the PSP, and i like it alot, ive played the one for PSOne as well..but i looked at all the job classes and descriptions online, and saw samurai and i was like ZOMG! so i grinded job levels FOREVER, which they require a lvl 5 monk lvl 4 knight and a lvl 2 dragoon, and once i finally got the samurai and leveld his job class to 4..i realized...they are the most USELESS CLASS EVER!!! am i right, or any objections? whats your opinion.

I think that all classes are useful to some degree. Some of the better classes can only be unlocked by leveling up prerequisite classes. For example, It takes a level 3 knight to unlock the monk class. and as for which classes are good to train, it really depends on what you want to use the character for. If you want an effective mage, Train mostly as a black mage. If your looking for a brawler, train as a monk. it is also important to mix and match class abilities. an orator has pretty useful techniques but, the techniques generally have a low hit percentage. Since the hit percentage is determined by the MA stat, the orator abilities would probably be most effective if you use them in the black mage class.

I think it all depends on what kind of fighting style you go for. I have a samurai in my group and its one of my strongest characters.

I think you may have underestimated the samurai class.they capable of being a support class and they can do some damage.there ranged and close combat damage isnt that bad. they are also able to restore life and mp aswell as cast support magic using the drawout skill.if breaking weapons is a problem, you can get a skill that prevents this from happening.
