Why is it when sphiroth burns nibelheim, then when you return to nibelhiem its completely fine as if nothing ever happened?

didn't that happen in the past though?
I'm not sure, been some time since I played and the game won't run on my PC...
Nor do I have a PSX memcard so playing on ps2 doesn't work either xD

Shinra cover up. Plain and simple. Pay attention when you play

Explained in Crisis Core. Shinra rebuilds the town and essentially hires people to live there in order to cover up the Jenova projects (Zack n Cloud) When they break out and find out the town is all normal and everything apparently 4 years had passed. That part didn't stick to well with me because some of the story that you follow it doesn't seem like any time had passed at all and yet some does. They kind of screwed up the plot there but so-beit.

xD in other words they screwed up the whole plot point in the original game (including it simply to make Sephiroth seem 'badass' without considering continuity) and used Crisis Core to retcon it and fix their mistake

i thought cloud was pretty much lying to tifa,then he tells her the real story after, havn't ben keeping in touch of ff7 anymore

you were told that it was a shinra cover up in the original if you paid attention
