Be careful, this game is getting on the older side and was never really huge when it first came out...would hate to see you drop the money on the game and monthly fee only to find out it's shutting down in a year or something.

In my personal opinion (and as a huge FF fan, played every single one) FFXI wasn't really worth it, and monthly fees are never fun...

Long hard tedious grind to end game, then you'll spend most of your time trying to find a group in order to do anything.

Fun under the exact circumstances... not fun in reguards to everything else.

Overall, not worth it.
