Ive played FFXI for over 3 years, i love it, but its not a FF game really. Just like any other MMORPG its just roughly based on it with the reference of some of the characters you see in the story line of a small amount of FF games. If you like MMORPGs i think its a great one. If you dont like not being able to do anything without the help of people its not the best game. Once you hit max level on one job (they are called jobs for a reason) if you dont like playing a ton on the game you wont have fun.
