Heh, I would never try that.

I beat it with 2 warriors, black mage, white mage.

Best combo in my opinion..

I beat every boss (including last) with this combo.

Edit; meant to say on the first try

I like mages.. always been much for spells and such. Havent really played FF1 much though, but im going to as soon as im done with FF8, FF9. Havent tried it myself (but im going to) and use 2 Black Mages/1 White Mage/1 Warrior. Black mages for dmg, White mage for healing/items and the warrior for the hp. Recently finished with FF7, which has so much to it that you can do smile.gif.

the best set up is 2x fighters 1 black mage and 1 red mage
red mage will heal you more than enough and he can use alot of weopons and armors... hits hard 2...

I beat it with a solo blackbelt before. That's actually quite easy once you get past the early part. You have an absurd damage output.

Not at all. Just kill off your normal characters, or rather let imps and wolves eat them. I did it on a legit copy of the game on my old NES (well, actually the second version of the NES that was top loading). If you survive the first couple levels, you'll start to become strong enough to level up faster. Once you hit a high enough level, you can abuse the peninsula of power to max level. At level 50, a blackbelt actually has excellent natural "armor" from level up bonuses. It's convenient having so many carrying spots too, having spots for only 3 or 4 pieces of armor-loot always drove me nuts since I'm a packrat.
