Something about the new FF's (X+) havent really appealed to me as much as 7,8,9... there may be 2 good explanations for this though:

1) Maybe im getting too old
2) Storylines arent as good imo (I was practically mesmorized by 8 and 9's storylines)

X and X-2 didnt do anything for me. They were easy and boring.
XI was too massive and was seemingly intended for the "hardcore no-life stay at home online all day" fanatic. nty.
XII well... i lost interest very quickly in it. The battle system was cake, but it was... uninteresting.

I agree.

I played FFX and just couldn't pass it, too boring.. Didn't even bother much with FFX-2 (Still passed both after though ^^)

Also played FFXI for 2 years, now I'm stopping.. Not enough time and don't want to waste too much money.
Lost interest really fast in XII.. Played like 10 hours in it only sleep.gif

Being an extreme fan o SE, i'm very disappointed to say that i agree with you people :/...
The quality has dramatically droped. When i first played FFVII I couldn't sleep at night from my anxiety to see what was going to happen next. Not mentioning the gameplay, JUST the story was enough.
After that i played VI, VIII and IX both extremely good also very good story, each had unique features etc.

FFX however was less appealing... Still liked it though and got it the far end beating penance
FFX-2's story was...ok...I liked the system though of the semi-active battle system where everyone could move at the same time doing combos etc.
FFXI i didnt even bother p(l)aying it and it completely reversed my standards of FF
FFXII i started some time ago but dont have time and it doesnt seem THAT good and it wont make me play it again like the others
My hopes now reside with FFXIII and versus...

Well the first game I ever played was FFIII (US). Just couldn't put it down I had to beat it. Unfortunately never did beat Keftka, my cousin took over and beat it for me. But I was pretty young around 8yrs.
Then I sorta quit Final Fantasy for a time and picked it up Final Fantasy VIII. Played the game over and over until basically can't anymore because my 1st CD won't go past Timber Owls. Guess I played it too much and
wrecked the 1st CD somehow. Anyways this game was my favorite for a long time.
Then of course found out about diablo2 Lord of Destruction and played that until September 2006. Got bored with the game, and friend told me to join d2jsp and sell my stuff in which I did in November 2006.
Finally in April I was looking for a game and thought I never played FFX so went off to Wal Mart to see if it was available. Found out that FF was now at 12 so I bought that one.
This game is now my favorite of all time. FFXII is amazing because of the battle system. Of course some ppl might not like 12 but I just find it too amazing.
So with that myrating in the 3 games I played are:
FFIII (US) 9/10
FFVIII 9.5/10
FFXII 10/10 (just because there are so many ways to play this game with so many different challenges....completed so far 100% perfect game, 70% 122333 and 75% Solo, 10% NLB)

FFXII is a great game dunno why people dont seem to like it , the battle system probably better than it ever was and the story wasnt too bad
FFVII is good but overated so much , still one of the best games ever made tho
FFX i also liked had probably the best mini game ever (Blitzball) great storyline too imo
FFVIII wasnt too bad , had the worst battle system and lvl system , u can get 99 @ fucking balamb garden whats going on there , and junctioning magic was fucking stupid , storyline was ok but it seemed to go too fast
dunno the numerals for 9 , but its fucking horrible game imho shit story shit battle system the worst .... closely followed by ffx-2 ..
i like both some old and some new ones i only listed these ones since there probably the most mainstream
but tbh i cant say wich are better , but i feel that ff games to come will still challenge the old classics

Wow....it sounds weird refering to FF 7,8, and 9 as the "old" FF's....
I think, in my eyes, nothing will top FF 7 thats just me though 8 and 9 were awesome too.

As for the new ones I liked FF X....X-2 was ok at best the gameplay was good just...too....pop for me...
FF XI wasnt really an FF
FF XII I though was really good it took a different direction and wasnt focused on the whole "love" theme which I really enjoyed and the battle system was pretty cool too.

the older ones were much better too me to >_<

I played FFX but I never beat it, was horrible to me and didnt both with X-2. As for ffxi i played that for long time and it was okay, but i cant really put that in same category as the others because its an MMORPG. I haven't bothered with much pasted FF9 honestly, i think when SS turned into SE it went all down hill from there. >_>
