i havent purchased anything yet. whats the most efficient way to go about this?

do i stay free to play and just finish the main story and once i hit lv70 buy an expansion, complete it since it comes with a free 30 days sub, and repeat that until i run out of them?

or is it better to get them all at once? i really dont intend to have alt characters and i really like the bunny girls so im torn on giving up potential money savers to start off as the bunny race

As a fairly long time player I'd say do your MSQ(Main Story Quest) till you reach the end of stormblood, which is where you will be ending as a level 70.
However, if you enjoy the game, and know that you will be playing for a good while, and simultaneously want the ability to do the stuff that you are currently locked to as a trial, go for it man :-)
You do however only need up to the Shadowbringers expansion if you are planning on playing as a bunnygirl, I hope that answers your questions :-) Feel free to reach out, if you need any help regarding FF14.
