My favorite is probably snes ff3 american. Partly because it was so enigmatic to me as a kid. I started playing it when I was 11 or 12. I would rent it from the video store. The thing was though, this cartridge was messed up, in the fact that you couldn't use the equipment screen. So this made the game a lot harder considering you could never change weapons or equip relics. Farthest I got back then was the beginning of the 2nd part of the game, where you enter the world of ruin. And that just blew my mind. I had seen it before on another save file and it wow'd me then, because I was like, how did this happen. It seemed so foreign. Years later I got my hands on a better copy and beat it. But back then it was just one of those games I'd rent every now and then. Usually my file would have been deleted so I'd have to start all over

Besides that. I'm on Ch. 11 ~ 30 hours. It gets a little better around this time with the missions and stuff. I hate the voice acting and I hate half the characters. Especially in the beginning Hope, the really high pitched girl, and Snow were the MOST annoying characters out of any Final Fantasy. More than Tidus, even. I think I remember him being annoying.
I loved 12. I liked the battle system. It was a nice change from random battles because those get boring after a while. I like to explore everything which makes it so that in most FF games it takes me forever because of the random battles. But 12 was the first FF I actually ended up getting every little thing after I beat the game and I ended up putting 110 or 120 hours it. More than any other FF. Though 6 I have played multiple times and gotten everything.
8 was hard. Or so everyone said so when I was in high school. I didn't think so but I grew up playing games and stuff so it is natural to me. I didn't like the item/upgrade system thing. Maybe I should play it again sometime. 7 was just one of those classics too. I liked 9 also. Chrono Trigger anyone? Off topic, but since CT is on the same PS1 CD as FF I figured i'd throw it in there. And Chrono Cross was a great sequel though I didn't like the battle system as much. Music and story was great though.
