Was there even a story line to follow in FFXI? Or is just another WOWish kind of deal?

There is a story-line but its not on par with the final fantasy name.

So there is an ending, just as Diablo is. However, you can also continute with the game after to level your characters?

From what I remember way back when playing 11 there wasn't much of a storyline as we've come to be familiar with. I.E. theres no true ending or ultimate bad guy. (There may be now Idk I played the game voer 2 years ago.) But there are so many quests and things to do that it would take forever and a day to complete them all with leveling and preparing etc.

Sorry for thouse who dont agree but FF7 and FF9 had the best story lines out of the whole ff series
