I said I've never touched it, I guess I could have worded that a little better. In the MMO sense I'm saying I've never played it at length. I played during the burning crusade briefly but didn't care for the cartoonish graphics and overall ease of the gameplay. I played FFXI at the time when WoW was released and those two games are on the exact opposite of the spectrum in the sense of gameplay.

One caters to the masses with ease of access and spoonfed gameplay (which is fine. not to mention it is the single most successful/profitable MMO in the history of MMO's). The other is much more in depth and is a complete time sink with almost nothing being easy to accomplish due to needing a party/alliance of people to smash out content. I appreciate your constructive post though.

Well, made this mistake again of logging out when I went to bed last night, let's see how today goes of trying to get on

I was able to make a char on your server but thats it wasnt able to log on the server and play at any time in the last 10 hours
Giving up for today and going to sleep

Alright and yah, it took me 8 hours yesterday to get on it, late at night seems to be the trick, once you get on don't log out!

How are you guys liking FFXIV? I played the closed beta and didn't really know what I was doing so I didn't enjoy it as much, ended up with like 200 quests lol.

it needs more content(which is otw 2.1)
but i really like what i see

the engine has tons of potential
