The first time I finished FFVIII was with gameshark (shame on me!
) and used "The End" on Ultimecima.
About a month later I decided to start a new game and try to get Lionheart on disc 1. This failed because you can't get to Shumi Village to farm Blue Dragons for Dragon Fangs with Tonberry's LVL-DWN ability. Beat the game with squall on level 35.
A year later I started yet another file, this time to complete everything. I completed everything except for the chocobo forest's, Chubby Chocobo card and Ultima weapon.
3 Months later I started another file and played a lot of cardgames in Balamb Garden before I went to dollet, so I would really mash up Elvoret and blast through the game. on this file I have all characters level 100, completed the game, ultima and omega weapon dead, everyone equipped with his best weapon, all chocobo forests done, all cards and the "bonus" ending.
NOTE: I also played Soldier of Fortune II online under the name of Squall (if you played SoF2 back in the days you know me, since I was VERY famous.
), so yeah, you can say I like FF8.
