ff9 best

It's pretty much like that in all ff games or RPGs in general.
In the end you are unbeatable and the game becomes boring sooner or later.

I used to love the Lionheart animation and only did it just to see it again, it was so cool

ff9 is the best however i think that many more people like ff7 becasue of the fact it was made into a film, most people havent completed the game

i liked FF3/6 overall because i thought storyline and the character's ability were pretty cool o.o

Eh..People liked FF7 far before the film was even announced.

yes thats true but my point is that if films came out about the other final fanasy's wouldnt they become more popular?
ff7 is every1's favourite by far because simply it was the first one they played (this is not true for every1 ofc but for many people)
ff9 was the first final fantasy i completed and has remained my favourite ever since

I know, I'm weird.
But I have to go with the original Final Fantasy.
Also, I'm prone to nostalgia It was a challenge, and it took some time and planning and thinking to complete the game in a timely manner. Resources (gold, items, magic spells) had to be spent wisely.
My next 2 on the list would be 3/6 and tactics.

1 was by far the hardest I've ever played. Since I had never played it until a month or so ago but had played most all the others since it was a real challenge. Only FF I've ever played where I've routinely ran away from monsters. But 1 is lacking in many areas such as storyline and depth of gamplay. I'm currently playing 2 and aside from the dumbass leveling system it is far superior to 1 in storyline and depth. But on the other hand it is way easier than 1 is. They have to change each FF somewhat or they'd just be making copies of the same game over and over again.
Not fun.
