you could always cast KOTR and keep using mime to cast infinite ones but he may just use ultima on your ass
I managed to beat Ruby Weapon without using a guide and without Final Attack and Phoenix/Revive. I had KOTR+HP Absorb and just Mimed it. Cloud had 9999 HP (with a few HP Plus materia) and survived Ultima every time. KOTR healed him back to full health after each Ultima.
I struggled a lot more with Emerald Weapon, but I needed a friend to tell me about Aire Tam (Materia backwards arghhhh >_<) Storm before I beat him (without a guide, I just mimed KOTR like I did with Ruby). I had Final Attack/Phoenix for that battle though (and I needed it
).
However, without overpowring myself with the best materia (KOTR and Mime to name two), I would probably have had no chance in either battle.
