yes it is worth playing. one of my all time favorite and classical ff games and its a good story line great set of characters and not too bad of game play either. i would play it for story and because it just is plain fun.

If I had 2 weeks to live I would spend all it playing ff7.

So yes play it at least once in your life imo, the longer you leave it the more crappy it will look vs say ps3 / pc games, But hey ff7 so good you wont notice it once you start playing.
