Yeah there is something called the Deep Dungeon where you can pretty much battle all you want.

Off the coast of Warjilis Trade City, think you have to ask about a rumor in the bar to get to it. Its solid, blacked out maps with integers as all the heights ( making calculator very handy ). You advance to next floor/lvl of the dungeon when you move to the right square. A msg saying something to the effect of "path found that goes further." Eventually, you will end up @ the floor known as "End." When here, make sure to have a summoner in the group for the first battle. You fight the 13th Zodiac Brave ( holy stone / zodiac Serpintarus ), a warrior from the 50 years war named Elidibs. Reason you want a summoner, is to get the ragnarok summon from him in the battle.

I like the majority of the characters in FFT.
The character Orlandu is often refered to as being 'too strong.'
Reis is easily best character to assign to a job with magic.
Agrias is fun to play with on builds b/c of her xtra % to avoid attack naturally.

Orlandu = hax lol to awesome

If a few more ppl would refer me to it, I will. You claiming 7 as one of your favorites definately adds merit to your suggestion.
I think FFT:Advanced was the one about a guy getting pulled from his world to St. Ivalice. Will definately read more on the game.
Its will most likely be my next adventure.

I have officially decided to try out Tactics when I'm through with Xenogears. Mind you, I never made it past the first few battles when I owned it as a kid

Even if you don't like the story (which I haven't really ever heard that from anyone that has played the game through), the battle system is something completely unique. You can always pm me with any questions you may have Andross, that I spoiling the story can be prevented.

You won't be disappointed by Tactics for PS1. It has the best story, it's real, it's complex, it's layered, it's gritty, and it's unlike any other FF story.
