I thought the rom was translated pretty good. I cant remember what NES emulator I used though....it was a DAMN good one back in the day I NEVER had a problem with it.

First one I played was Final Fantasy VII like a lot of people, I had just gotten out of prison and was on probation trying to stay out of trouble not wanting to go back. I saw my brother and his friend playing it so I started a game on my memory card and got hooked to VII and the series.

Started out with FF7 as a little noob. It consumed a chunk of my childhood, until I eventually tried FF8, and slowly played FF9 and FF10 as they came out. After getting to high school and college, I continued playing FF7 every couple years or so, and was into the series enough to play FF5 and 6, both of which I had to come back to several times b/c they are so awesome! If I had to put a favorite, it is a tie between 7 and 5.

Awesome! I have a file of V going on my PS3 but with work and being busy and all, it's been a hell of a lot easier to commit to an emulator on my laptop so I haven't been able to play for a few months. I guess there are a lot more heads than I thought that originally got into the franchise via FF VII, that's really cool. I know my when my mom first met her boyfriend (now my step-dad) I was over at his place and put in FF VII to kill some time, but didn't make it an hour in before putting in Madden 2001 or some shit, so I don't really count that as my first.
