Well, it's obvious Vincent and Tifa are the popular choices but if you want the most EFFECTIVE party I would suggest you take Yuffie in Tifa's place because, end-game, one of Yuffie's Limits (I believe it was her 3rd level limit, forgot the name) hits more times than Cloud's Omnislash and can be one of the most damaging Limits in the game.

with the right setup it doesnt matter who you take

go for the worse team possible

and the game is still rediculously easy if you set up right

Cloud would undoubtedly get the most votes... which is kind of funny.

Because if he did, all the characters would be listed in order of most cliche, with the most having the most votes, and the least having the least. Cait Sith and Yuffie are the most original characters in the game, and also the least popular it seems.

xD Goes to show a lot about taste. Of course, in terms of gameplay, the only thing differing about FF7 characters are their limit breaks, and limit breaks are unnecessary. Other than that they are homogenous surrogates ready to be turned into abusive materia junkies.

I'd actually say take Cait Sith and Yuffie, they are the only characters who are not ludacrisly overdramatic and maudlin.

Vincent is the best choice. If it was the jap-version, Aeris would be possible :/
