If it were determinable in a battle, Zelda would lose. There just aren't enough main characters (Heroes and Bosses) that could withstand an assault from the FF characters (once again, Heroes and Bosses).

There are other RPGs that are non squaresoft and are on par or better than final fantasy ones, they just aren't as well known. And other Square RPG's are better than FF series ones as well, Chrono Trigger / Cross, Xenogears, and Valkyrie Profile in particular.

FF vs Zelda isn't a fair comparison at all, let alone on this board.

They are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT subgenres of RPG's; Zelda is an action RPG series, like the Soul Blazer and Secret of Mana series. Compare it to those, though I doubt many of you have even played Soul Blazer or SoM (/shame!) let alone the older Zeldas.
