I like ff8 the best
The story line is amazing
The romance in it is cute ^^ (:
and its very heroic
plus the final boss is pretty hard to beat

Definately ff10, i agree that i digged the romance in ff8 but the storyline and ending of ff10 is much betr so ill go wit ff10
