oh come on,, no matter what you say, FF10 has to be TOP 2 on everyones list.
it was an utter pognant ending i actualy teared up when Yuna tried to grab Tidus and fell through.
and the cut-scenes were spactacularly awesome.
like FREAKIng beautiful i love that game
and its even better cause there was a sequel
with a happy-go-good ending where *SPOILER*

Tidus is Remade into a real Hume in their world

What do cutscenes being beautiful have anything to do with storyline? Read any books lately? They don't have cut-scenes yet they usually have great storylines. If anything X-2 hurt X in more ways then it helped it. Worst idea a game designer ever had.

lol?
the cutscenes have everything to do with the story.
do you think any FF would be considered perfect like they are if their cutscene graphics wernt completley outstanding?
even if the story was exactly the same, not any FF would have the same stellar storyline that it does. the Graphics allow for a deep read into the character emotions and everything. Do YOU think the ending in FFX would ever have the same effect if you couldnt see the single tear fall from Yuna because the Mp looked like they came from a GTA?

The older games didn't have any of that and still are priceless. FFVII's cutscenes were remarkable at the time, but it didn't effect the storyline much except maybe the end. They help the storyline but they won't make or break a FF game. It's been proven.

yea,, but the fact is
they were remarkable at the time
again they were the best for the system that the game was on
its like comparing Super nintendo to Ps1
comparativly, the graphics for Ps1 were absolutly stellar

same with Ps2 compared to Ps1

Yet the original NES is still the greatest video game system ever made. Close second Atarri.

Don't get too off track, I am talking about storylines not graphics, when it comes to storylines, I can care less about the graphics.

For example...Lunar The Silver Star Story is one of the most successfull Rpgs of all time. (Playstation)

And its graphics look like Reg NES.

People will play anything with a storyline worth exploring.

Well considering people all over the world say FF7 is the greatest game of all time, and its graphics look like carnie folk on crack, hehe Id say story line is the key factor.

The graphics now, look like that, but I do admit I was really exited for that being the first 3-D FF game.

True it was the first...but other games topped it the same year. They had the technology for so much more. Look at FFX its graphics were the best in gaming for like 5 years in a row...
