Yoshida (the game's producer) has said that there will be enough quests to get about 2 classes to max level, and these quests are not repeatable. There will be other methods of leveling such as dungeons and guildhests and levequests, but I believe questing will be the fastest....

So it's likely that it will take new players not so long to get their first and second lvl 50, but then it would take a bit longer to get the other 6 combat classes to 50, and then there are 3 gathering classes and 8 crafting classes to level....so it will take people quite a while still to get all lvl 50s.

you obv didnt understand what I wrote. Joining an established server calls for lots of people maxed at crafting, therefore creating competition and therefore making alot of items affordable to newer players.

theres not a single mmo to this day that takes a month to cap a job. they only take about 3-5 days if you grind them nonstop.

Implying most adults have 3-5 days to spend playing a video game non-stop.

stuff starting off at a lot higher price isnt going to make things more affordable for newer players. you are just completly off base.

I would say start on new server since everything will be in a frenzy. Abuse those prices while you can as well as easier to establish yourself.

How are the mage's in this one?
haven't tried it yet i went with the simple Gladiator to get a feel for things at first.
