I have to agree on emerald weapon, ruby weapon in ff7 and omega weapon in ff8 eden ftw.

You have to be kidding with Emerald Weapon. He was easy as hell. W-summon=KotR. Mimic. That's all you need. He was easy.

Now, ruby weapon was tough, though, but I still say not as tough as Yiazmat from FFXII.

The one that was the hardest for me was the last boss in ff9 when u had to fight the red floating lady then fight that one person after it

I thought omega weapon in ff8 was easy, mainly because of lionheart.
Emerald was far harder than ruby to me at least.
You can leave the counter do its stuff when you fight ruby and it's all automated.
Emerald can wipe you out instantly unless you're lucky or fast enough and he won't perform that attack (which I forgot).

Ultimecia is easy. Set up your 3 best characters with whatever junctioning you think is best, then allow her to kill off any party member that is not one of the ones set up. A good team for that is Squall, Rinoa, and either Zell or Irvine. They get multiple hits in on their limit breaks. Also when you have the good team in the fight, have someone cast Aura on everyone, and Meltdown on each boss in the battle. Then spam the skip turn button (triangle, I think) till a limit break is available. She'll die quickly.

Also, the hardest boss EVER is not even mentioned here, and I'm disappointed in all of you for not mentioning it. 12eaper came close when he mentioned the Dark Aeons, but they're babies compared to Penance. After beating all of the Dark Aeons in the International version of FFX, go to the Calm Lands. You'll find Penance there. Greatest challenge I've ever had in a game. Harder than doing that annoying Chocobo race to get 0.00 time. Takes forever to kill the boss, even if you can survive the beating. Come up with a harder fight, I dare you.

I retract my statement about nobody mentioning Penance. One person is a hard core fan like me, I guess. Lol. I completely agree with him. The two hardest were Omega Weapon from VIII and Penance from X. I've yet to beat FFXII, so I can't say anything there.

Actually Penance is what I meant in my first post.
I said "main boss from monster capture quest" but it's been awhile I played so I forgot Penance comes after dark aeons.
The faqs I've read about him say it takes roughly an hour to beat him with the best gear in the game.

I guess Zanmato would work faster

hmmm im probly gonna say the third seymour was the hardest for me

From my whole history as i played all ffs, i think Penance too is the hardest boss, as you need over 300 hours of training to kill him with attacks and spells, i exclude Yojimbo ofc..
