yes i understood the storry fully , and i just dont find it interesting
yeah i maybe did when i was like 12 when i first played it...

Crisis was stupid as fuck all these new people/towns that magicly dissapeared
the movie was Alright i supppose
then all the other games i couldnt care less about before crisis, dirge that just took it way too far

they rode it out so much , wish they would just drop it already , FF has changed from then and i belive the newer games are more interesting interms of gameplay

i was probably 10 when i first played it. and i didnt understand it at all. but it was the only rpg i had played so i liked it.
to date ive probably played it 12 times, and most the other ff storylines are too straight forward, and thats why i liked this one so much.

and ya, they milked ff7 for all they could get. and imo they should of left it at just the movie (crisis core or before crises, which ever one is with the turks actually came out shortly after ff7 in japan).

and the gameplay evolves as technology evolves. so the new ones easily have better gameplay. but ff7 gameplay is by far better than the ones before.

FF7 had the best magic system in any RPG. The ending was supposed to be a cliffhanger, if Holy had destroyed the humans or not. Instead they ruined the ending with that dumb movie (The visuals were good.. but they couldnt think of anything new). Okk Midgar is still in ruins after how many hundreds of years, but all the other cities are packed in Advent Children. They should have left it as it was, and continued NEVER making sequels to FF games again. When was the last time anyone said they liked FFX-2? Besides some JPop girls..

ff10 is where its at

well once the first final fantasy movie(the spirit one) came out. it was completely unrelated to any game and was terrible.
instantly after, square got hundreds of thousands of requests for a final fantasy 7 movie (the most infamous final fantasy)

so it would of been dumb if they didnt make the ff7 movie, it was a very smart business move for them and the movie was very anticipated.
the movie wasnt that bad(the voice acting was pretty lame in english, much for fun and cooler to watch in japanese), and it wasnt totally out of the wild or completely unrelated to ff7, it was a decent add on and tied in fairly well. over all it was good. (probably the most random movie ever if you know nothing about ff7)

and it was based 2 years after the game. they simply show the ending of ff7 at the beginning of advent children where midgar is in ruins 500 years later.

the movie is based shortly after ff7 where everything is still intact.

the movie was a good idea imo. but they should of left it at that. they did take all the sequals and prequals too far, such as dirge of cerberus. comepletely unrelated to ff7 and how they tried to tie it together was an utter fail, and the game is so basic and straight forward.

but it was the only final fantasy worth making all those for because of such a large fanbase.

pretty much what im gettin at is that the movie was a good idea(and a success). the rest was terrible and just a money grabber.

Crisis Core for the psp is good.

I hated that movie. Aerith shows up all late to help him beat some flunkies? She couldnt of shown up in FF7 when the world was about to be destroyed? The Turks help a bunch of kids.. then they killed a shitload of people when they dropped the Midgar Plate on them. Cloud doesnt use materia..? He was all hyped about using some Bolt or some other, and then he completley ignores it. Besides.. Where the hell was Omnislash? That last move was lame.

he used omnislash(essentially) vs sephiroth at the end. why use materia when you can kill shit with a sword(melee becomes your best move at the end (4xcut/slash-all) other than KOTR), aerith is essentially a ghost, she can do what she wants



havnt tried that, mainly because i dont own a psp. i hear different opinions on it

They try to make Zack seem more badass in Crisis Core. Instead of dieing from TWO Shinra MP's, he get's mowed down by an army.

You can do the same amount of damage with Quadra magic, 9999 x 4. (Using Demi on bosses or Ultima)

Althought nothing really compares to Omnislash. Adding Braver at the end of it was bad ass.

true, they alter alot of zack's story in alot of different things. and demi only works on some/very few bosses, and ultima's damage get significantly decreased when equipped with quadramagic and nearly becomes useless.

and ya, omnislash is epic lol, coolest move in any final fantasy game
