Materia was awesome, it gave the chance to use only a certain amount of magic/summons during combat. Especially when your items can only equip so much materia. And having it gain experience and ability to master was awesome, I mean what would FF7 be without; Quadra Magic, All, and ofc KOTR biggrin.gif
