i would say that they are close to the same. ff7 is a little better. i like both because they both are challenging if u dont want to waste time leveling up (like me)

ive never played ffx7 but i have played a lot of ffx gam,es and if its the same id say its a tie

Ff7 over Legends of the dragoon but i definitely think lod is a brilliant game. For ps1.

Like what most others are saying, I would choose FF7, mainly because I've always been a FF fan and will always them (except the crappy offsprings like CrystalChronicles). LOD was an awesome game, both are on my top 10 favorite PS games list.
