I agree that the idea of FFVII being the best Final Fantasy ever is based on opinion because a great number of people played it an loved it. However, I believe that there are also a great number of people who are "playing" this game vicariously through what they've read on the internet, or what their friends have told them about it. These people, in reality, have absolutely no idea as to why this is a great game, nor gave can they communicate any viable points that justify its greatness versus the other Final Fantasy games. There are; however, people that can do this, and the majority of what they say can be justified in further discussion which they can lay out in the form of an analysis over various points/topics or what have you. All I've seen thus far has more or less consisted of pedantic fanboy fodder that doesn't have the slightest glimmer of having any sort of sustenance what-so-ever. If you're going to make a point, please, try to include something that supports your points, and at-least try to make it sound halfway intelligent.
With that being said, here is logical reason #2:
