Disagree. I found 9 to be semi-weak; I HATED trance mode, the card game was shit (8's was amazing), and the storyline was lacking a little. It was still a great game, but overshadowed by the greater FFs.

I agree and disagree with some points. Trance was annoying because you had no control over it so Im with you on that. The card game was MORE THAN COMPLETE SHIT I despised that too haha. FF8's card game was so amazingly good I dont see how they could fuck up with 9's so much I liked the story a lot in FF9 actually....and I liked the story of 12 lol.

Hmm.... I liked 9 a LOT. Trance you couldn't control a lot but you couldn't control 7's limit break much eithe.

I liked the card game of 9, but I haven't tried 8's card game, so maybe I can't judge them fairly.

The story line was cool I thought.

7 is best, 9 is second.

Although I never could get into 8 for more than an hour... still have it and have had it for 5+ years. The start is too boring zzzz

The thing though in 9 when your trance was up it was automatic. In 7 you can choose when to use your limit.

FF8 is one of those games you LOVE or HATE. There are people that thought it was just "ok" but they are few. The more I look back on it the more I really think FF8 was a truely great game. You really should push through the start because its really worth it. The card game is the best mini game I've ever played in a final fantasy bar none.

Yeah ive noticed that typically, people who like 8 dont like 9 and vice versa. There are acceptions of coarse. Ive been trying to get through ff8, but it cant hold my attention.

Why after trying to play FF8 i can not for the life of me get into playing it. Ive tried twice and soon as i kill irift at the start and do some more minor quests i just get disinterested and forgot i had it. Tried the first time 10 years ago and just recently tried to do it.
