actualy u catch a male and female great chocobo race them to class s, mate them with a carob nut that can be stolen from those big red dragon looking guys southeast of bone vilage, u will get either a green ( mountain i think ) or a blue ( river ) chocobo, race them to class s and breed them with a carob nut to get a black chocobo, race it to class s, then go to the chocobo tracks near icicle in and catch a wonderfull chocobo race it to class s, then mate it with the black chocobo with a zio nut, and there u go.
