if your inquiring about FF4 which was the FF 2 release in the U.S. it was awesome
in fact ironically i started this game again last night
(notice my avatar
Dragoon Kain one of the coolest characters in all FF imo
and he can be found in FF4)

i was refering to 4 and 5 in the us, not 2 and 3. i have both of those already...

... otherwise the rest i have beaten several times and have almost perf files on most of them. smile.gif

In that case just play those too, you won't regret it as it will be a part of your FF series playthrough.

if they are worth playing (aka: good story) then i'll look into getting them. thanks smile.gif

yes they are both worth playing .. 4 is one of the hardest final fantasy games there is ... well atleast it is at one point

and 5 the reason not many people have heard of it is because it wasnt originally released in the us .. its only part of the final fantasy anthology collection for the psx - you can get both 5 and 6 on the anthology collection and you can get 4 and chrono trigger (AMAZING game if you havent played it ) on final fantasy chronicles ... both sets are easily aquired on eeebay for 10-20 bucks a piece

final fantasy didnt really gain popularity until final fantasy 7 .. and most people are too stubborn to look past the 2d graphics to see what amazing games the first 6 in the series are

I agree completely, 4 was too difficult for me, I am still stuck to this day. Though I play it on my pc with an emulator smile.gif nonetheless, I'm still stuck.
Final Fantasy 5 was simply amazing though, I loved the story and all the jobs, it just blew me away.
A must play heart.gif.

On the SNES:
FF1 in Japan = FF1 in the US.
FF4 in Japan = FF2 in the US.
FF6 in Japan = FF3 in the US.

FF4 was a good game, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I preferred FF5. The job system was great since it offered a lot of customisation to your characters and added a lot more gameplay since you had to figure out where to get each song for the bard, each summon for the caller, some of which required you to go through a sidequest, etc etc. And it was a really massive game with 3 different worlds.

And in case you want to know which one is which:

FF4 = the one with Cecil (the Dark Knight) and Kain (the Dragoon) and Golbez as the bad guy (through most of the game anyway).
FF5 = the one with Bartz, Lenna, Faris, Galuf and Cara and Exdeath as the bad guy.
FF6 = the one with Locke and Terra, with Kefka as the bad guy.
