I really like The Valley of the Fallen Star (Cosmo Canyon) too. Jenova is just ok for me, but I do like it as well.



A lot of people consider this the "main" theme of FF8, just like the map theme is the main theme of FF7. It's one of my favorites as well.

Heh, definitely one of the more memorable and often heard tracks of VIII~ for me, when I think of VIII I'll always think of Liberi Fatali~

Most people say "To Zanarkand" is the best song from FFX, but this one is my personal favourite from that game:

In FFX there's also a remix of the series' original theme I quite enjoy.

I couldn't find the track alone, but you can hear it in this tutorial:

zarkadon, It is called Prelude, and every Final fantasy game has their own version of it.

The Jenova theme you hear before the last fight with Sephiroth is actually Jenova Absolute, and not J-E-N-O-V-A.

Trisection from Tactics is a great one. All the battle themes from Tactics are excellent. If I had to pick a favorite battle theme from that game, I'd probably go with:

Heh, I did die a few times on my first run in FFVIII, but I didn't remember prelude there lol. Maybe I used to reset the system before it actually started tuning lol

You beat me to "The reat Warrior", I love that theme. Sweet Home is also very good, not muc of a fan of Freiya's though.

I always liked Cid's theme from FFVII too:
