After four hours of playing it at my girlfriends brothers i can honestly say it is exactly the same as 13 with a few stupid gimmicks... Whether thats a good or a bad thing is up to you.

If you liked 13, you'll enjoy it and its definitely worth the buy.

As predicted, 13-2 sales WELL down. Over 500,000 sold which is respectable but less then a third of what 13 sold in the same time period.

i highly disliked final fantasy 13..so i probably wouldnt like this one either right?

It depends.

-The characters got much less whiny.
-The battle system got upgraded.(even tho its the same battlesystem)
-Its not linear anymore.
-Much more things to do.(like chocobo races etc etc)

If these are the things you hated about XIII, maybe you should give it a try.

Im not too far into the game, but i find it very entertaining even tho i was kinda nagative to XIII.

my only complaint so far is it's very difficult to come up with the best monster packs and like leveling them up and infusing and all that stuff. confusing

But when sales of a sequel drop 66% i think its safe to say something is seriously wrong and that, Isn't just opinion that is fact.

i dunno i think the sales might have suffered for a few reasons

1. The fact that even though FF Versus XIII was in long development they still managed to put out a sequel to FFXIII might have made some ppl WTF
2. That sequels for FF games haven't really been the best just look at FFX-2
3. They basically Rewrote how the game progressed with this whole Time Travel theory of game play ( Which might put some ppl off )
4. Some ppl might be bummed about the choice of playable characters and the monster taming aspect

Even though i got it on release day i have only just started playing today for about 5 hours ( Episode 4 now i think ) cause i suffered from a Wicked Cold and i didn't feel like playing since
i felt like utter shit plus my eye's where watering and it would have effected me playing the game XD

Well so far i'm enjoying the game though i've only played it for a small amount of time i still feels like there is a lot left to come and i'm expecting it to be like around 35 hours+ of game then comes 100%'ing it after if i don't manage to do that along the way.
