W-Summon KotR, having KotR linked to the materia that increaes damage, have the other two guys mimic, and have FA+Phoenix just in case... it's really easy that way, it should be dead after the second round of attacks.

And you don't need to bread a gold chocobo, The old man asks you to bring him things, when you hand the last in he gives you one. I always use to hate breading so i did it that way, But it did make it hard without KOTRT and certain other materias.

just a fun trick. i usually play ff7 without any hp pluses or summons.

well i made my own setup for fighting emerald weapon...and it was working very well..turns out i accidentally gave red 2 materias so i get lucky sevens =)...currently fighting, waiting for this never ending attack to finish

Dude. It's piss easy with Cloud. I think you should wait until after owning Ultimate weapon, and you get the secret forest open up to you. You can get Death materia there (initially slash-all). Level it up in the Crater, and own shit with one hit.



Man, I forgot what it's like to have a whole party at your disposal when fighting the weapons. For the last three times or so that I completed this game I did the solo character challenge, which is hella fun and really challenging when it comes to Emerald and Ruby

Oh, yeah, I suppose you have to kill off 2 members at the start anyway. Yeah, completely forgot I'm sure there are other challenges in the game that are more difficult with one player. But one of the huge perks of it is having the Yoshiyuki which increases the damage output of normal attacks if an ally is down (which they always are). It gets you all the way up until Ultimate Weapon.
