Rogue... i'm not even going to bother replying to your pathetic attempt at a reply, if your simple mind cannot comprehend such simple characters and situations just on its own you must be pretty well... nvm the rest of it.

Anyhow i do agree emulate all of the further FF games seeing as they are no longer worth the money wink.gif

I think they are just trying different battle styles in latest Final Fantasies.

Well, you all know X-2 battle style. I actually loved the "combo" idea. And the dresspheres were just great but if they would have used more time on storyline.. And the look of battles. Your characters were not standing in straight line like some army ppl. It was more "cooler".
One thing tho, in a long time, it was first FF without 7-9 characters to choose from :/

And those parts where Yuna danced in airship (or lol, Brother dancing...) should have been deleted. Those parts made it look like game for kids, someway.
Another good thing in that game was real musics, such as 1000 Nokotoba (or how was that song name written in jap).

So I wouldnīt call FFX-2 is total failure. If you think so, at least you know now that even Squaresoft/Square-Enix may fail in some parts wink.gif

About FFXI, I have NEVER tested it and NEVER seen someone playing it. I would be curious to try it out tho..

And my opinion to your question; No, ofc not, FFs will remain good as long as "directors" and "storyline writers" got heart in the job smile.gif
And as we all know (?) the creator of Final Fantasies, father, once said:
"Final Fantasy is never-ending story".

Unless you have a very expensive, super powerful gaming computer, there is no way you can emulate a ps3.

Final Fantasy XII is very different from the other FF games. That's why many fans don't like it. Personally, I am liking it so far. The real-time battling is much more interesting than turn-based menus.

Personally, I don't like FF12 at all. It just doesn't play well.

The storyline does not grasp the attention of the player and immerse them in the world.
The license system as well as the ADB system are both failures.
Gambits are useful, but can be tedious and you could often play the character actions yourself better and faster.
Characters do not have their own class as much as they are designed to all be rounded perfect characters.

I didn't play 11.
10 was pretty good.
9 was also good.
8 was decent.
7 was alright.
1-3 were good for their respective times.

Ok first off... final fantasy x-2  sucked, as for 11... never played it never will.  Seems like ever since 10, the rest of them have sucked.  (not including III,  i have not played it)

I just bought 12... and i am praying that it gets better.  The battle system where enemies hit u if they come within a foot of ur body is stupid.  Why make it so ur character can move as he WAITS to attack if moving serves no real dodging purposes.  Now granted i'm very close to the start of the game... and i am hoping if you get a shield there will be a block button.. or something because the moving character with waiting attacks and no dodging just isn't that great.(wtf is up with waiting that long in a game where the char moves anyhow?? it's like a first person shooting with a 1 bullet reloading gun it's gay)

am i the only one that thinks the ff series is going down hill?  Or that this battle system sucks??

PS
for thos of us who have not played it... u select attack then run around until the bar is full and ur character can attack.  u press attack once and u don't have to select it again.. u just run around until the bar is full the ur char auto hits the enemy, the enemy hits u, then u run around some more, u auto hit the enemy, the enemy hits u... and wow this si boring

PLEASE if some one is further tell me it gets better

FFXII is built like an MMORPG, but it's offline. Takes some getting used to.

FFVI is still the best one by a very large margin. Had the best storyline, wasn't over publicized like that piece of shit FFVII, had replayability, and had a great battle system.

Wow, how could I forget Kefka. Best boss ever...I think I hated him about as much as I could hate an actual person while I was playing that game the first time...some of the shit he did was what a REAL enemy of humanity would do, like poisoning water supplies; destroying entire cities for fun; irreparably harming the planet in order to more firmly place yourself in the seat of world dictator; et cetera.

The story isn't character-driven like some other FF's; it is event-driven. The characters don't have a cool story or a tragic past or whatnot. So I can see where you're coming from.

Not all three at once in real-time.

No; characters have different base stats. Basch has high strength; Ashe has high magic, etc. Besides, what's the problem with well-rounded characters?

i liked x-2 for the most part ((i spent quite a few hours getting 100% completion)), but i agree that 12 isnt as good as previous ffs. not because of the battle system in my opinion (even though it can be annoying); i dont find the plot as good as usual. i got bored after like 25 hours
