FF7 has to be [the worst game in the series i was so bored throughout the whole game...i was waiting to get to the part of "ff7 is the best game ever" ...yeah no, it sucked ..awful game overall

I have to agree with the people saying this place is full of FF7 fanboys. I understand the greatness of the game, but you guys are comparing to games AT THAT TIME, you can say a 1900 movie is fantastic and awesome at the time, but I won't think that a movie made in 1900 is going to be as good as one in the 2000s, just because it's good at the time doesn't mean that it's the best. I'm sure if they remade FF7 with great graphics and sound and same storyline and gameplay, it would easily win among all the rest. at least in my opinion, if the topic owner asked which game is best in storyline and gameplay, I honestly would recommend FF7, but if he wants great up to date graphics and sounds, I would recommend to just not get one for PC and get a PS3, or even PS2 and try one of the later ones like 10 or 11. Besides those have decent storyline too, and the gameplay isn't so bad, I personally liked playing through FF10, as you could go through it and casually play, and it was fun for me. That's just how I see it, I completely realize why FF7 is a great game, and how it was one of the first games with 3d graphics and great RPG styles, but to this date, it doesn't quite compare to some of the others in graphics and sounds and such. That's just my point of view, I'm not saying any of you are wrong, because you have your own opinions on which games are good.

You're either a moron, or 13 years old. You know the game was made in 1997, right? That's 13 years ago. You are comparing it to games that were made on much more superior hardware in later years. Graphics mean nothing to making a great game, even after seeing some of the newest games on the market. I can still easily go back and play NES, Genesis, PS1 games etc and have a better time than I can on some of the newer games. Graphics are not everything.

I, for one, can't stand voice acting in modern RPGs. It'd be nice if there was some sort of option to turn it off.. but I think the developers feel like they'd be wasting their money on the VAs since that has yet to be seen.
