Number 7, Final fantasy VII ..no doubt about it. I would rate them in this order VII, VIII, IX, XII, X and i would say that al games froml I-VI was funny but to old and slow to even compete in the league of those that are made in 3D. The Games i havnt tried yet are chrono cross, ff tactics, X-2, the one game for pocketstation (VIII subquest linked to chocobo quest(name, anyone??)), kingdom of hearts, or the recent games loosely bases on ff made for other consoles then playstaton and pc.

i love the ff movies too

7 is Overrated imo.

Although beyond that i have not played any other FF anymore.

Going to get myself a second hand PS2 and a new PS3 next month and play the FF's i have missed.

i disagree somewhat here... even though my personal meaning is that VII would rank 1, 2nd n 3rd.. XII is also a game in the FFseries that is just as interessting as the others. it should have been included here in the vote.

i myself for once think that FFX and X2 seem like to much, for instance that lightning vally you had to cross with that secret quest thingy

and the spheregrid, and the underwatervolleyball, and the monstercatchquests...all amusing but took ages to complete i felt.. i can see that the XII auto-use equiped skills and the real-time combat would maybe throw off people somewhat in compard to the more or less turn-based combat system in earlier FF games...to me it felt actually like a system that had good potential for some more developing (preferably with the not unknown material stones incorporated in some manner ) in the future FFgames.

Its no use. That guy wont have any discussion with you unless its singing FF7 praises all day.

I do admit that 7 is my favorite but I agree with you that 12 was REALLY good. People see a LOT of different stuff in that one and they think its just too much change at once.

I personally LOVED the sphere grid leveling system in FF10....FF10-2's combat was awesome but the rest of the game was lacking...

I am a fan, but I guess I haven't played many..

Only 6 7 and 8.
