The most awesome monsters are Tonberry and Cactuar.

Most awesome Aeon/Guardian Force/Boss is clearly Gilgamesh. Especially if you've played FFVIII (although Odin is high up that list too, considering what a badass he is in that game).

They have a fish tail too. And you forgot about the lantern he's holding.

Also, if you have FFX, try summoning an Aeon (GF). Tonberry will cast Voodoo which makes a little gray clay version of the GF infront of Tonberry and he'll stab it with his knife doing a ton of damage.
