Ozma is really easy if you know what you are doing. Do the friendly monster sidequest and equip gear that absorbs shadow. All your characters should be able to do 9999 damage at that point and he only has 55k hp or something like that. People have beaten Ozma in a lvl 1 game.

Penance was by far the hardest for me.

It's all about luck in a lvl 1 game, not in a game where you play normally. I have beaten Ozma quite easily the last 2 or 3 times I played through.

You're missing the fact that Ozma can indeed choose to take several turns in a row, dealing all your characters 9999 if he choses the right attacks.
Which makes it all luck.

if this includes all final fantasy's i would say (not becuase of difficulty but amount of time taken) would have to be yiazmat final fantasy 12

That's why you equip them all with shadow absorbing/nullifying equipment and then have Quina use auto-life on each character. You also use Eiko since she can cast Phoenix and revive everyone who has been KO'd. It should take a few rounds unless you want to steal. I have never lost using this technique and I was still able to steal all the items from him.

For some reason Griever at the end of 8 was very difficult for me.

As far as I know you can't cast auto-life or Phoenix if it's not your turn. Again, all about luck.
