Sephi FTW!

Ummm, exsqueeze me? "Tries way too hard"? HOW DARE YOU! I don't know what Sephiroth you're talking about, but there is nothing in his demeanor that suggests that he trie too hard. Zidane tries too hard to gt Garnet's attention, Steiner tries too hard to be taken seriously, Tidus tries to hard to be smart, and Balthier tries too hard to be "the leading man". Sephiroth doesn't need to try, being a badass comes naturally. As for the "pretty" hair and leather, the hair is long and white, pretty badass in '97, and the leather, what would you have him wear, spandex and a tutu? A villain needs an outfit that will strike fear.

I feel that Sephiroth is the best villain, not becaue I have a crush on him ('cause I don't) but because he's mysterious and elusive, his past is a mystery, he's calm and collected 24/7, and even when the shit is kicked out of him he comes back for more. He's the villain you love to hate.

lol white long hair and black leather and pretty faces were never badass, not in the 90's, not ever. Mysterious is a stupid excuse for an improperly written background. Being calm and collected 24/7 shows that he is a poorly thought out character, as a good character breaks down from time to time, it is a narrative technique. Square tries so hard to make him a "cold heartless badass that you could totally go gay for", which is a VERY commercial design, people obviously can't get enough of it, but that doesn't make it good. Kefka is much better. Golbez is a better badass. He's the original Final Fantasy badass, the character Sephiroth was based off of basically (most of the game is adapted from the previous games by Square).

Seph is the bad guy and anyone that says diffrent is obviously gay, because their in love with the pussy ass bad guys with "feelings".

He's much better this way, and what was I thinking, rooting for the first main villain in FF history who actually has a face and a pretty cool background story that has extended into two other games and a movie. I have seen the light, and it is being shed on Kefka in all his unidentifiably shaped glory. Well, I know when I'm beat. You held me down and Kefka curb stomped me with his blocky, mishappen boot.

Lol @ people who value graphics over story. His background story isn't cool, it's the same "super soldier" BS story that has been used by anime and used by hollywood a thousand times. The addition of Jenova is just Square ripping off it's own other game, Chrono Trigger, something they did again with Xenogears. It's only original if you are ignorant to what else is out there. Extending him to two other games just means Square is squeezing every dime out of idiots like you who would pay to see a craptastic storyless CGI film like Advent Children just to see your favorite effeminate villian have a cat fight with the ridiculous blond hero you wish would sweep you off your feet and take you off for a long night of cuddling. How badass!

I think your a faggot, because no one thinks the way you do. So my question to you is are you gay and do you want to fuck the ff guy characters? Because that's the impression I'm getting from you. All you can talk about is how they need more depth in character and how you want to cuddle with them and every other gay thing you can imagine.

Lol.. i'm infering that the rabid way in which people drool over FF7 characters is ridiculous, and that effiminate men wearing leather doesn't make them "badass" as implied by a post above. Learn the english language. Learn how words and wording can be used to make points, and opinions.. to argue for or against issues and the validity of characters as good or bad. Maybe you'll understand what I have written then, as it takes at least a brief amount of education to understand someone who actually speaks intelligently and argues points rather than spouting nonsensical garbage.

Two, graphics are only 1% of what I look at, I just used that for added comedy. I never said his storyline, or the game's storyline for that matter, was original I just said I liked it, it's interesting. And what's with the gay shit? You're really hell bent on proving that anyone who likes Sephiroth is secretly haboring gay feelings towards him, aren't ya? Hate to break it to you, but just because you think he "resembles a girl" doesn't mean the rest of us do. You're mainly saying he is a bad villain because of his looks, doesn't hold up against anything else about him. He started out strong, so what. His transformation from good to evil was, I must say, a little lame but who cares. Everytime you see him in the game until you get to the Crater wasn't even really him, genius. He may be a Captain America ripoff and I'm not saying "he's sooo dreamy, he's like the best villain ever", he's just, in my opinion, the best FF villain. And I just realized that they always refered to him as a guy in a black cloak, not leather.
