The remakes of the original final fantasy or original games made for Gameboy?

Wow, some ppl have extreme high expectation. But then again we still have the ff7 freaks that will not budge from this one.
FF12
Best overall in every category except story line. And, oh well people that didn't like the battle system, to bad. Actually almost all battle systems now are going this way. Why use the MY TURN your turn, MY TURN your turn. Boring boring borign.
Imagine Diablo 2 LOD this way. My sorc turn Baal turn my sorc turn baal's turn.
Get with the program......those are called basically low tech. They were fine for prior final fantasy but 12 made the jump in improvements and should never go back. If they actually went back to ME you Me you Me you, heck it would be like going back to the hippies generation.
I pretty much laughed at the guy who said graphics were no better then FFX. I hope you realize that players running around don't really jump IRL. unlike 12 I don't think they jump when they run around. They look like rabbits in 10 running around.
Lastly you want to talk about worst final fantasy. X-2 I saw a video of a guy playing and I laughed. I think it was made for kids age 5 at best. 2 girls acting like, well I don't know their so dumb and the Paine is like oooooo I'm so tough.

Oh well at least this is only my opinion, but I don't really take the idea of someone saying Graphics no better then FFX or Worse one ever made. Its like if 12 worse ever made, forget 13. Not for you.

Final Fantasy (Origins)

Pro - The remake is great, has two options of difficulty for the game. Bright new colors and different apparances during character change.

Con - The random encounters were a bit much at some points, wasn't much of character info or storyline other then to get the 4 crystals.

Status - Beaten 2 times on PS verson, none on the NES version.

Final Fantasy 2 (Origins)

Pro - The first introduction of individual characters equipped with a fair storyline.

Con - Mastering spells are gained from how many times you use them. Example to get to cure 2, you have to use cure 1 100 times.

Status Beat 1 time on PS version

Final Fantasy 3 (Nintendo DS verion)

Pro N/A

Con N/A

Status Never Played it.

Final Fantasy 4

Pro - Each character had it's own special abilitys. Cecil "change" had a great impact on the story.

Con - Don't remember the game well enough to think of any cons, I thought it was a good game.

Status - Lent it out before beating it, never got it back.

Final Fantasy 5

Pro - Introdcution to different job classes.

Con - The fact that you have to level each character's individual class to get stronger sucked.

Status - Played about 2 hours of it, never picked it up again. Don't like job classes.

Final Fantasy 6

Pro - This game had everything for me. Numerous monsters, skills, magic, abilitys, summons, an EXCELLENT story line, and one of the best baddys of FF - Kefka. Introduction to limit breaks.

Con - The PS version of this game is very skippy, and lags in some parts.

Status Beaten countless times.

Final Fantasy 7

Pro - First game in 3D, FF7 was a jaw dropper for everyone. Great story line, characters, introduction to Sephiroth - a fan favoruite baddy. Graphics blew your mind. Limit breaks were very drawn out as summons were!

Con - In comparison to newer games, this one is very blocky movement, the cut scence arn't as good, but great for it's time.

Status - Beaten countless times.

Final Fantasy 8

Pro - Storyline was one of the best

Con - The characters were to straight and narrow for me, and the unablilty to change the font backround left the grey color pretty shitty looking.

Status - Beat 2-3 times full, countless @ Ultimecia/Cardgame

Final Fantasy 9

Pro Very colorful, different card game, very well - although predicted, storyline. Characters had good personalities.

Con - Quina

Status - Lent out the game, never finished it.

Final Fantasy 10

Pro The ability to control summons, Jeht's interation with the game. Spoken words, great storyline.

Con Blitzball

Status Beat 1 time.

Final Fantasy 10-2

Pro None, just a female version of FF5

Con Everything

Status Played for about 10 minutes, read plenty of reviews. Put down the game.

Final Fantasy 11

Pro N/A

Con It was only an Online game.

Status Fuck that, I didn't pay for something like that. Won't do it for WoW either wink.gif

Final Fantasy 12

Pro New Battle System.

Con New Battle System

Status Played Demo, didn't like it.

Final Fantasy 13

Pro  N/A

Con Same Damn Battle System

Status Never played.

Final Fantasy MQ

Pro Creative side game, you can see your enemies.

Con Short game, Not many weapons or Magic spells, shitty graphics.

Status Beaten 4 times, playing now.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Pro N/A

Con N/A

Status Have the game, died too many times in the begining, haven't re-played yet.

Final Fantasy Legends

Pro N/A

Con N/A

Status Never Played

Final Fantasy: CC

Pro N/A

Con N/A

Status Never Played

Final Fantasy: DoC

Pro FF Shooting game with an FF7 Fan favorite: Vincent Valentine

Con Short on Weapons, need more character interaction.

Status Beat once.

FF Legends

Pro: First game of it's kind on the Game Boy, allowed you to pick your party from the get go, monster evolution, the foothold for portable RPGs. I still suggest playing it through an emulator or a GB/GBA/DS because this is a classic.
Cons: Shitty graphics, towns looking like plains with a building randomly strewn in for good measure. A forest every 40 steps, sudden escalation of monster difficulty.
Status: Check it out and learn some respect.

FF Legends 2:

Pros: Oh my god. This is where it got fucking awesome. Introduction of Magi/Magicite AND the introduction of being able to equip them to give you status bonuses, customizable chars (like the robot, where if you equipped something agile like a whip, his agility would increase, or something like a sword, his strength would increase, making him fully customizable.) Awesome storyline about multiple worlds containing certain numbers of Magi that, when combined, would make the user a God (que awesome story here. You never know who the real bad guy is until roughly 2 hours before the game ended.) Each world was different, (And I mean fucking different, like, a Shogun/Ninja world etc) lots of detail to towns and to world maps, secret hidden entrances, the addition of a 5th controllable character to your party, evolution by feeding your characters the meat of your slain monsters and watching them evolve to a higher monster (Only available with certain character types like the Baby Dragon (You choose what party you want in the beginning)) much like Pokémon but much more fucking fun, and of course, the mystery of why your father left you and your mother 10 years ago...

Cons: Random Encounters (This plagues every FF game, does it not?) Not an experience system (You don't really notice it, works quite well, unlike that POS system in FF2, just sometimes annoying to certain people), Weapons/Magic have/has a set number of uses (IE: A Long Sword cannot be used more then 50 times as the blade dulls).
Status: Pick this up NOW. For the Game Boy, they filled this puppy to the brim with fun.

FF Legends 3: Like Number 2 in every way, but better graphics/no pokémon evolution/All humans (No Robots/Monsters/Mutants which made FFL2 a fucking blast to play)

Final Fantasy 9

Pro - Good Story line!

Con - After i beat it i figured out that if you wanted to get the best sword on the game, you had to beat the game in 10 hours and go to a certain point. My time was like 23 hours. Lol tongue.gif

Status - Beaten GAme, Along with Super Secret Extremely Hard Boss Ozma! smile.gif
